The Wayne County YMCA focuses on three main goals for the community, Youth Development, Healthy Living, & Social Responsibility. The YMCA takes pride in nurturing the potential of every child & teen, improving our community's health & well-being, & giving back & providing support to our neighbors & the community as a whole..

The YMCA is building a new facility just outside of Honesdale, which will serve all of Wayne County and parts of Pike in the future. Funding for that project is being handled through public and private donations. We expect to break ground in the spring, with an approximate build time of 18 months. The funds generated from this event are not for the construction of the YMCA but for expanding and training the staff necessary to operate the new facility. After all the years at their present location, we will need greatly enhanced staff for the new facility. This will be used for the training and acquisition of the personnel needed to operate it.

As the Wayne County YMCA works towards improving our community, we look to you & ask for your support. Now more than ever we need to support nonprofit organizations, such as the YMCA, that provide the community with much-needed services & resources. We are kindly asking our neighbors & local businesses to support not only this event but also the Wayne County YMCA & community that it serves.
